Every gamer has a dream of playing high-end games in good FPS with monitors having great refreshing rate. But very few of them are really aware of the miracles which an overclock monitor can perform, yeah, it’s true that a monitor can also be overclocked like that of CPU, GPU or RAM.
While purchasing a display there are so many questions which comes running in our mind mainly regarding the display, the pixel density, the weight, refresh rate, existence of a HDMI port, sound system and many more. One question leads to another thus forcing us to consider many benchmarks before choosing a perfect one. Thus, here some doubts will be made clear resulting into the choosing of your ideal display.

If you are going to need a display for the purpose of doing your simple work like arranging data or professional video editing, then there is absolutely no need to go for gaming monitors and also there is no need of thinking about the refresh and resolution, just look into the quality of your monitor and consider the display type[IPS, FULL HD, 4K bezel less etc ] also taking into account the pixel density, dimensions, screen to body ratio and the external ports supported by the display. Just looking to these features will clear the usual queries which will never let you down in serving the purposes of professional work.
Secondly, if you are a gamer and is interested in buying a gaming monitor, then the main part to be taken into account while getting a proper display loaded with advanced features is the selection of a proper brand. Next comes the determining of the qualities needed in the display. If one wishes to run FPS games then one should always take in to account the refresh rate provided by the monitor after considering the FPS of the GPU with the out of sync option as well.
Now,Let us talk about the feature of overclocking available in most of the gaming monitors which are pre-loaded to support the overclocking in an easy way leading you to have a beast performance while gaming and 4K editing. So always look at the brand features and discuss with any experienced gamer regarding the selection of a proper brand according to your need. The number of times per second that an image displayed on a screen needs to be regenerated to prevent flicker when viewed by the human eye while using or applying your work is known as refresh rate.
So here a monitor with 60Hz refresh rate is shown, which means that an image which appeared on monitor is getting refreshed 60 times every second to provide a better view, but one will never be able to find how, because this process is too fast to be distinguished by human eye. The more the refresh rate is, the better performance is gained. The human eye and brain can capture only 24hps at a time.
This is a very straight forward and an easy process, it can be done with some third-party toll called CRU or it can be also done with the display graphics settings like NVIDIA, AMD, INTEL graphics etc.

CRU is one of the oldest methods which has been used mainly for overclocking of display for refresh rate.
Steps to customize:
Firstly, double click on the icon to open CRU. The appearing two boxes provides two options of detailed resolution and standard resolution respectively.
Next you will need to change the refresh rate of your OS which you are using in your system.
If the settings have been applied successfully then the pc will behave properly other-wise no display will be shown on the monitor and it will get reverted to the past settings within some time.
If you are using an AMD GPU then you will have similar settings as shown while monitor overclocking. So, open the settings panel by right click on the desktop and follow these steps:
Reboot and start using your new overclocked monitor with great refresh rate and visuals.
This is the easiest one as NVIDIA settings are not that tough to be manipulated being more user-friendly too. They only appear to be tough as they have provided a collection of settings, catering into the needs of users.

With the NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL, one can also test the settings which one has created while monitor overclocking, once everything is set-up then reboot and enjoy.
Intel also has its own control panel to set all the custom resolution and refresh rates which one wants.

Lastly, I would like to convey that monitor overclocking as well as overclocking of other peripheral parts too always harms the hardware by a small extent initially, later resulting in the decrement of its performance and longevity.
