LG is one of the greatest international electronics manufacturing brands of South Korea popularly known for its home appliances. It had also started the manufacture of smartphones long ago, unlike the common designs showcased by the manufacturers around us. So, this year Lg is nearing to welcome its new dual screen smartphone in the leftover months of 2020 in India, naming “LG WING”. Although the phone has been launched already in some parts of the world like USA but still the company is looking forward for a great start in India as well. This is not the first time that LG has designed a dual screen smartphone.
Previously, it had already launched some smartphones in the ‘G’ SERIES line up which focused on the exhibition of dual screens, but this time the brand has something more to offer. Earlier, the company used to supply an additional attachment screen in the box, just like a flip cover, which would fit with the phone when placed in it but now the phone features a built in pro-grade stabilization so that one can control it with ease of a hand and tilt or roll to play games and record videos seamlessly.
It has been given a tagline of ‘THE NEW SWIVEL’ as its main center of attraction is on the hinged screen, allowing it to swivel both vertically and horizontally, never seen before in any other smartphone. This device gives the user a best experience which one can gain in terms of multi-tasking technology advancements.
LG WING reports a 6.8” flawless POLED Full-Vision display, when swiveled up reveals a 3.9” GOLED second screen with an extremely durable hinge movement engineered for longevity. LG WING has undergone 200000 durability tests to make its position in the market. The screen descripts a 21:9 view, and the bezels can be termed as non-existent in any of the sides, giving more space to the screen. The screen has a resolution of 1080*2440 pixels and 392 ppi pixel density having a screen to body ratio of 87.09%, supporting a multi-touch capacitive touch screen display.
LG WING is geared up with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G(5G) chipset paired with Adreno 620 Graphics Processor Unit for extraordinary visual experience while gaming. The processor is an 64bit octa-core processor which will sport an 8GB RAM and 128GB internal memory expandable up to 2TB, for the lowest available variant.
LG WING supports 5G connectivity and comes with a hybrid dual sim adapter. LG WING supports Bluetooth version of 5.1, NFC, dual-band WI-FI connection accompanied with dual-band A-GPS centering GLONASS, BDS & GALILEO.
LG WING has a rear-mount triple camera setup with a 64MP primary camera, 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 12MP ultra-wide GIMBALL MOTION camera including options like auto flash, digital zoom, touch to focus, face detection, dual 4K video recording and much more. LG WING also depicts a 32MP selfie camera of aperture f/1.9, motorized to enable a pop-up mechanism making it a perfect gadget for the hidden photographer & selfie freak inside a person.
LG WING is powered with a non-removable 4000maH polymer Li-ion battery which supports fast charge, quick charge 4.0+ and wireless charging too. LG WING is also designed to support reverse charging packed with a USB 3.1, TYPE C, reversible connector.
LG WING has dimensions of (169.5*74.5*1.9) mm or (6.67*2.93*0.43) inches weighing approx. 260g only. It has been furnished with a water repellent coating and is IP54 splash-proof. The phone has also anti-dust feature with an in-built optical in-screen fingerprint sensor partnered with a variety of sensors like gyroscope, proximity, accelerometer, compass etc. LG WING would be available in 2 colors: Aurora Gray & Illusion sky featuring v10 ANDROID in terms of software compatibility.

Q: Will LG WING last longer due to its swivel mechanism & MOTORIZED CAMERA?
A: Yes, certainly LG WING will be a long lasting one, as it has been designed to perform its best movements and engineered to provide longevity. Although the mechanism is new to be used in a smartphone, but it is not something new if seen through the modern technological point of view, thus letting it provide its best directional movements. As far as the motor of the camera is concerned, it is nothing contemporary and even budget friendly phones are being also equipped with these types of motorized camera for enhancements of selfie qualities and video calling features. So, there should not be any doubt regarding these mechanisms as they are previously proven.
Q: Isn’t LG WING overpriced?
A: According to my point of view, LG WING is not overpriced keeping in mind the advancements it is providing and is the first of its kind in the smartphone market, which I feel will pave a new way to these kind of smartphones in future thus resulting in its gradual price reduction. Still the exact price is unknown to us, which will be revealed once its launching takes place in the country.
Q: Is LG WING worth buying?
A: If someone wants a complete package of camera, battery, display and performance then it is an ideal choice to go for this flagship device. LG WING is a versatile gadget giving access to each and every advancement which can be included in a smartphone and runs on the latest android version too, so there should not be any ambiguity in one’s mind while buying this flagship device.
Q: When will LG WING be launched?
A: The exact dates of launch of LG WING in our country is still unknown but as per the leaks and other information available in the net, we can assume that it will be available during the left over months of this year or maybe next month too.
